🪄 AI-Prompted Renter Insurance Tracking

MagicDoor now helps ensure that renters have the right insurance in place, and that it stays current. You can manually add coverage details, but tenants can also upload their own policy or purchase one directly through the platform using our Sure integration.

AI-driven prompts guide tenants who are missing required coverage, checking for completeness and accuracy as they proceed.

If something’s off, like a missing policyholder name or expired document, they’ll be prompted to correct it before the lease is flagged.

Everything is automatically linked to the lease and visible to you and the tenant.

🪄 AI-Scheduled Lease Renewals

Lease renewals are now handled automatically with AI.

MagicDoor’s AI tracks each lease and sends renewal offers at the right time, no reminders, no manual scheduling, and no risk of missing a deadline.

You stay in control by setting how early you want offers to be sent out, 30, 60, or 90 days in advance, or whatever suits your process.

Once it’s set, the timing runs itself.

Late rent follow-ups take time. Now you can flip the script.

With Autopay Incentives, tenants who pay on time using autopay can receive automatic credits, with no need for manual tracking or adjustments.

It encourages reliable payments and saves you a round of follow-up emails every month.

Getting started should be fast. That’s why new users are now walked through setup with voice-guided AI.

Instead of guessing where to click or how to get started, property managers hear step-by-step instructions inside the platform.

From setting up your first lease to enabling payments, the AI onboarding helps you move faster and with more confidence, especially if you’re managing multiple properties.

🪄 Custom Late Fee Rules With Formula Editor

Every property has different late fee policies.

Instead of rigid settings, MagicDoor now lets you create your own formula for how fees are calculated. Use placeholders and logic to apply grace periods, percentages, caps, whatever your lease requires.

You define the rules. MagicDoor applies them consistently.

🪄 Late Fee Thresholds You Control

Late fees on a few dollars? Not worth the effort.

Now you can set a minimum balance threshold so that late fees are only applied when the unpaid rent crosses a value you decide.

This cuts out unnecessary conflict and keeps tenant relationships clean.

🪄 Tenant Move-Out Requests, Tracked in One Place

Now you and your tenants can both mark move-out dates directly in MagicDoor.

Tenants, especially those on month-to-month, can request a date inside the portal. Property managers can confirm or edit it.

You’ll also get a new “Leases with Move-Out Requests” tab, giving you a full view of what’s ending soon and what’s pending review.
